Hi all-
At this point, this is specifically for non-profits in the
Greater Boston area.
The Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University (http://www.cdiabu.com) is
seeking worthy non-profit organizations that would like to
participate in its next Practicum project in which students
who have completed their coursework produce a high quality
digital film, photography, Web design, audio, or animation
project for a non-profit organization. Best of all -- this
is community service and thus free. It's a great way to get
a PSA, document a big event in your history, and quickly
obtain a high quality piece that you can use to promote your
organization. In some cases the adult students also work
with kids in a non-profit's program, which is even cooler.
CDIA has a cutting edge all-digital facility and programs
that start quarterly, and they are great folks to work with.
The best way to determine if your non-profit organization is
a good candidate is to attend the free screening of the
Summer 2006 Practicum projects, as follows:

On behalf of a mid-sized non-profit client here in Boston, I am looking for advice for online and in person credit card processing for 1) events (specifically a fundraiser concert on 11/9 with tickets) and 2) donations, both in person and online. They are already members of Network for Good, but we need a way to process donations made in person the night of our event. So the new vendor could do one or both or all of these things for us.
I'd particularly like any feedback on using PayPal, Acteva, or RBS Lynk (Citizen Bank's affiliate).
Any suggestions would be welcome! If you can send them to me directly, that would be great since I'm on digest.
