I've been a participant in the Non profit blog exchange
since it started and it has helped me connect with others in
the non profit field.
In May and in November I host a Tutor/Mentor Conference in
Chicago. At the same time, I have been building an network
of elearning discussions on the Internet.
My goal is to teach leaders and volunteers of tutor/mentor
programs to use the internet for learning, networking,
collaboration, etc. It would be great if every tutor/mentor
program in the country had a few people blogging the story
of what they do on a daily basis. If these were aggregated,
they would serve as a powerful testimony to why these
programs are important and why business, philanthropy and
individuals should support them.
If anyone from this network would want to host an on-line
"learn to blog" discussion during early May, or
early June, as part of the next Tutor/Mentor Leadership
Conference, you would be helping us teach tutor/mentor
stakeholders to use blogs as a tool. You'd also be helping
us increase the number of organizations who might join the
non-profit blog exchange in the future.
You can read about the conference at http://
www.tutormentorconference.bigstep.com. Email me if
you'd like to discuss this further.
