Greetings
First of all, thanks to all those who replied to a recent post of mine on PBXs. All the information was valuable in helping my process along.
I'm posting because I'm trying to put together a workshop with three goals; show relevance of security to charities/non-profits using concrete examples of threats currently in existence, show how they can secure their networks from those threats, and finally show how they can secure their computers. All of this will be at a basic level because I'm not a security specialist but I want to make it as comprehensive as possible then see how much I can shave to make it fit into a day or so.
Most of the information I've found outside of my personal knowledge and experience relates to businesses and individuals which, of course, carries over to anyone connected to the internet including social agencies but, I would like sources of information about how poor security has affected social agencies specifically so that their relevance and significance increase so that the issue has meaning and people change their thinking about what and why their information needs to be protected.
Anyone know of any resources I can use?
Thanks
Joe
