I have very mixed feelings about this. We have talked with people who use our site, we have conversed with folks at conferences, talked with board members and they've talked with their kids and grandkids. The reality is that most of the world doesn't know what an RSS feed is, and a majority of people who know about RSS feeds don't do/know about tagging. We forget that we're (those of us on this discussion list) are not the world, or even the sum totals of the communities most of our organizations serve.

Having said that, yeah, I agree it would be helpful for all managers, be they public administrators or private, to be somewhat aware of web technologies (actually, of technology issues in general) and I think a good public administration curriculum probably wants to include a technology overview course, if only "technology for managers."
