* My role in implementing, IT/ Technology Management, for my nonprofit organization is Manager Director and Research / Development Management. I coordinate volunteers who research IT to keep members informed about new Software Hardware and Peripherals.
* Questions and issues pertaining to information technology that I want to see addressed on this list now are:
1. How can I open the attached business plan. I tried notepad, and got an error message stating this program has performed an illegal operation. Should I ask the sender to send the business plan in a PDF file?
2. Also, how can I save the dial up modem drivers and audio drivers already on my computer before I do a clean boot. I've done a clean boot a couple of times before and each time I had to take my computer to the shop afterward and have those drivers downloaded. It is costly, and I want to avoid that expense if it is necessary for me to do a clean boot again. I was told I could save them to a CD or in a file, however I don't know the steps to follow to do either. 3. The last time I had the dial up modem drivers and audio drivers downloaded on my computer by the repair shop, they told me my computer could not be set to boot from the CD and overwrite or override my operating system. Is that true, or should any computer be able to boot from a Puppy Linux, 1.09 CE, NEW VERSION, multisession OS CD?
