I understand that FOSS stands for "free and open source software," but
am enitrely unclear about what VCS stands for.

Hi Deborah,

Sorry, I should have translated from English English to American English before posting! Peggy got half of it. In the UK what you in the US call the NPO sector is called the Voluntary and Community Sector.(VCS).

I guess maybe I should have also made it clear that we are talking about Cambridge, UK, not Cambridge, USA.
