Hi Christy. My organization (the International Campaign for
Tibet) has worked extensively with a firm called "Free
Range Graphics" (http://www.freerang
egraphics.com/). They're based in DC (with an SF office)
and do great work for a good price. A couple of the sites
they've done:

We're still in the middle of our redesign, so we don't have
any finished product for you to check out, but they also do
small (and large) traditional design work, too (reports,
books, flyers, posters, newsletter inserts).
As far as I can tell, most of their work is for non-profits,
so there shouldn't be any problems with a fit.
