(ISF) Seeking Recs for Bulk Email/Subscription Mgt Service

Hello,

I am currently on a hunt for a system that would be able to send out emails/newsletters to our mailing list (under 5000).

Ideally, the system would:

1. be web-based (machine-independent)

2. be able to manage subscription services (such as user-subscribe/unsubscribe feature, bouncebacks)

3. send messages from a no-reply address (one way sending)

4. work so smoothly and intuitively that a non-techie could run it.

Thanks in advance,

SW

The best you can do with your requirements. I've set two arts organizations (non-techie!) up with it and they're going great. Their lists run 5,000 to 15,000 subscribers. The support is terrific, and their price unbeatable. No 'pay per e-mail' that gets so expensive with other commercial options. And the people who run it are committed to social justice and all.

No self-interest here-- my web development collective sets up CiviMail (integrates with web-based CiviCRM contact management software and Drupal web sites) which has your (or our) server sending the e-mails directly. This is useful if contact list, site users, etc needs to be integrated. It would meet your needs, except that nontechies don't like CiviCRM much and it sounds like your best off outsourcing your e-mail.
