Hello Deborah,

I have been receiving the newsletter Information Systems Forum and
can't seem to log into the group to start a topic. Perhaps you would
be so kind as to start this topic for me?

I have been searching for direct or related information that speaks to
the issues surrounding compliance for the Non-Profit sector. Much of
what I have been finding seems to be related to the for profit
publicly traded companies. I am having troubles finding compliance
information for Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, FISMA, PCI, SCADA, and
Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and how any of them may apply to a small
non-profit housing authority?

I am concerned about the level of compliance that I should have in
place, or should be considering to put into place if so needed. I
apologize if this issue has already been covered in detail through the
forum, perhaps I missed it.

Anything that you could offer would certainly be appreciated.

Regards,

Jeff Hendries

Although this list is specifically for New York, it's still a good start: http://www.npccny.org/compliance_checklist.htm. There is a similar organization to NPCC starting in Wisconsin (Go Pack!) called the Wisconsin Nonprofits Association that might know of the specific state authorities that you'll need to comply with. Their information is listed below. Both Independent Sector and the State Associations are going to be your best bet to start to figure out what you'll need to comply with. Hope that will help.
