Dear ISF Colleagues,
I will be in Washington, DC next week to attend the Nonprofit
Technology Conference and to roam around the area visiting nonprofit
technology shrines. While I'm on the road, the list will be moderated
by my lovely and talented assistant, John McNutt. (John always has
moderator super-powers, but he usually doesn't deploy them except in
my absence.) I'd like to encourage everyone to give John an easy time
of it, partly because he's not thrilled to be missing NTC, and partly
because he's an evil, vicious sort of moderator, unlike yours truly.

On a serious note, I'd like to point that congratulations are due to
John, who has just been appointed to a tenured full professorship.
This is a wonderful tribute not only to John, but his field of
academic research, which of course is nonprofit technology.
