Hi Leigh - Contribute and Wordpress are somewhat apples and oranges.
Contribute is a program that lives on your computer, while Wordpress lives
on your server; you mostly make updates/changes/etc through your web
browser.
In addition, Wordpress is really focused on being blogging software. It is
easy to use as a lightweight CMS, indeed I've set it up like this for a
couple sites. It works great, and has lots of things going for it - open
source, LOTS of free plugins you can use, and can be easily bent to your
will. Personally, I love it.
But, if your website needs are complex, or don't have a blogging component,
it may not be the best bet, as it is very blog-centric.
I haven't used Contribute since Macromedia's Version 1, and I see that
Contribute CS 3 has gained a lot of functionality since then. It seems more
geared towards general website maintenance and updating, but I believe you
have to buy a license for every computer you want to use it on.
Hope this helps, and I'd be happy you have any other Wordpress questions you
might have.
