(Dear ISF Colleagues: I received the following message from the folks
at Idealware. As you probably recall from previous posts, I am a
faithful fan of Idealware. While I would never use this online forum
to ask you to send Idealware donations, I would like to invite you to
consider voting for this exemplary organization in the Netsquared
contest. Naturally, all ISF members are also welcome to make the case
for their favorite nonprofit technology projects - or even to reflect
on whether the Netsquared contest is a good idea in the first place.
Best regards from Deborah)

Subject: Vote for Idealware in the Netsquared contest

Want to see a lot more Idealware articles? We need your help! Vote
for us as an effective use of technology for social change at
http://www.netsquared.org/projects/vote

We at Idealware have thrown our hat in the ring of Netsquared's
Featured Project contest - a contest to find the projects that will
most effectively use technology for social change. We're pitching a
project that would let us dramatically expand our Few Good Tools
articles (like our Few Good Email Newsletter Tools article, for
example). We're looking to cast a much wider net to find the software
knowledge that already exists in the nonprofit sector, to bring you
more and even better articles. Much more on the project here:
http://www.netsquared.org/projects/proposals/idealware-nonprofit-software-knowledge-sharing-initiative

Winning one of the 20 spots as a Netsquared Featured Project would
mean money and publicity for us. As we're still a very small
organization, this would be a huge help in creating more candid
articles and reports, and making sure that nonprofits know that our
resources are available.

Voting should take less than five minutes. Go to
http://www.netsquared.org/projects/vote. You'll need to register on
the site to vote, and to pick at least five projects to vote for - but
there's certainly no lack of worthy projects to choose from. Here's a
few that caught our eye:

Aspiration's Social Source Commons
Fair Trade Language Tutoring Via WebCam
Farmer 2 Farmer Learning
Games for Change
Grassroots.org Toolbox
moulin Wiki - the Offline Wikipedia
Point K
The CTC VISTA Project

Please, vote now! It's an absolutely free way to help out Idealware
in a big way.

Thanks,

Laura
