Hello,
My name is Soha El-Borno and I'm also new to this Yahoo Group. I work for Wild Apricot. We provide membership database, event and website management for nonprofits, clubs and associations. I also write articles for our blog which is focused on providing ideas, tactics, and best practices on non-profit technologies, web 2.0/social media, website usability, and industry news and upcoming events.
Deborah thanks for sharing this post by Nancy White. I'm very interested in the many ways nonprofits can use Flickr. As a matter of fact, I wrote a blog article about how nonprofits can use Flickr to reach new audiences and thought everyone might be interested in reading it: http://www.wildapricot.com/blogs/newsblog/archive/2007/04/20/five-ways-non-profits-can-use-flickr-to-reach-new-audiences.aspx
I also started a discussion on the blog about the barriers of using Flickr in nonprofits and would like to hear everyone's thoughts on this: http://www.wildapricot.com/blogs/newsblog/archive/2007/04/24/what-are-the-barriers-to-using-flickr-in-your-nonprofit.aspx
Please feel free to share your comments on the blog, I would really like to know what you think.
Thanks,
Soha El-Borno,

In addition to Nancy's great content, I love this use of Flickr as a way to make slides available. It's free, it's web-based, and it's an alternative to PowerPoint. I'm not much of a fan of the latter,* though your mileage may vary. * For more about my bad attitude about PowerPoint, please see > <http://blog.deborah.elizabeth.finn.com/blog/_archives/2005/2/14/324298.html>. >>
