Deborah,
Here is a possible model.
Technology Service Corps
Technology Service Corps (TSC) creates opportunities for young people who represent an untapped pool of talent that can meet _IT staffing_ (http://www.npowerny.org/education/tsc/staffingservices.htm) needs of local nonprofits. Before being admitted to TSC, candidates must meet baseline requirements that include: previous work experience, a high school diploma or GED, a desire for a career path in the technology field, and a keen interest in the nonprofit sector. Most of the _students_ (http://www.npowerny.org/education/tsc/tscstudent.htm) entering TSC are either not employed or work part time. Those who are employed often work to support themselves, their parents, and their own children.
