Hi All,
At my last position we had some cumbersome QI measurements we needed to track so we purchased SPSS for the job. Through persistent calls (about 3 months), finagling, whining and promising (I still recommend SPSS to this day) I was able to get a discounted rate on their standard product. Where SPSS will not budge is on the annual support/maintenance costs (where they get most of the money anyway). But we figured that we would have the first year to set up our system and then be able to rely on internal or external support for the infrequent changes we would make.
I am now going to let you in on the bad news. This was about 5 years ago and I have no current need of SPSS. So I do not have any current contacts or pricing. But I do want to shed a ray of hope onto the endeavor. It is possible, so contact a sales rep and bravely carry on!

>>Does anyone know of ways that nonprofits can buy SPSS licenses at a discount? The SPSS web site mentions educational discounts <http://www.spss.com/stores/1/Software_HigherEducation_C91.cfm>, but not nonprofit discounts, and I gather that this is not a product line sold by TechSoup.Org. >>
