United for a Fair Economy is a national, independent,
nonpartisan,
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. UFE raises awareness that
concentrated
wealth and power undermine the economy, corrupt democracy,
deepen the
racial divide, and tear communities apart. We support and

Position Overview:
The Interim Webmaster position starts as soon as possible.
Coordinating
with the Program Director, Communication Director, and
Technology Manager,
the Interim Webmaster is responsible for daily updates,
accuracy and
management for all UFE sites, including but not limited to
perform website
management, creating scripts, and other tasks associated
with maintaining
a robust, successful online presence.
Experience and Core Competencies
1-3 years of Web experience, working in Macintosh
environment
Basic image manipulation (cropping, resizing, optimization,
creating
buttons, etc?) using Fireworks and/or Adobe Photoshop
Macromedia Dreamweaver
Layout and design
MSQL, Unix/Linux, Apache
Basic knowledge of HTML
Audio Streaming, PHP, Basic programming
Knowledge of Internet policies.
Experience working in nonprofit environment is helpful.
Experience with online advertising models and ad banners is
helpful.
Skills and Qualifications
Effective project and time management while working under
strict deadlines.
Available 40 hours per week.
Flexible to respond to time sensitive tasks.
Must be able to work with employees of various skill levels,
backgrounds,
work styles and expertise.
Ability to listen and communicate effectively in order to
meet the
business needs of internal staff, and external vendors.
Professional, courteous, and can-do attitude.
Must be able to submit live URL work samples, plus detail of
work performed.
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities
Update and add content on a regular basis to deliver a
current and dynamic
website.
Develop web pages in a logical system, such that information
on the site
is available and accessible.
Provide services to make minor revisions to the website, as
needed.
Work with UFE staff to make sure all program area
information goals are
collected and updated.
Manage the website to deliver solutions to address the needs
of UFE, as
requested.
Maintain editorial style and tone for the Web, coordinating
with
Communication Director to maintain consistency throughout
UFE
communications.
Analyze Web tracking results to help shape appropriate
content on the Web.
Develop and implement strategies to drive traffic to the UFE
website.
Act as liaison with external vendors to troubleshoot service
issues.
Keep up-to-date on email and Web industry standards and
trends.
Notify staff of opportunities to contribute to content;
remind staff of
deadlines.
Adhere to the diversity and inclusion initiatives of UFE.
