Membership Software Conversion Project Manager, American Association of Community Colleges

This position will require a minimum of between 25-30 hours a week for between 12-18 months and will be responsible for coordinating the conversion of both a new Customer Relationship Management Software (CRM) and internet Content Management System (CMS). The Project Manager will be involved from inception and kick-off to several months beyond go-live, with responsibility for helping to set and reach team timelines and milestone goals throughout the conversion process. Project manager will be responsible for coordination and oversight of this project.

Project Manager's responsibilities include:

. Assist in the creation and execution of conversion work plans for CRM and CMS, and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

. Monitor each phase of the conversion, to ensure project remains on schedule, milestones are met, and changes in schedule are communicated to the vendor and the MIS team.

. Monitor changes from original proposal and work to minimize cost over-runs by working with staff to find alternative solutions, making change requirements the last choice.

. Assist MIS team to prioritize and coordinate the various phases in the conversion and help keep to the time schedules. PM will work with vendors, so phases are completed on time, within budget and in a quality fashion.

. Manage day-to-day operational aspects of both software conversion projects.

. Coordinate regular status meetings w/team to insure that each team member has the most current information as it relates to the conversion.

. Review deliverables prepared by team for accuracy and completeness.

. Formalize project standards and quality assurance procedures.

. Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with vendors and MIS staff.

. Work directly with MIS Internet team to coordinate CRM integration with CMS and other Web site tools and functionality.

. Coordinate with other AACC staff to do their part in the conversion process.

. Roll up sleeves and work with the team to help them meet conversion goals.

Requirements for this job:

. 2-3 years successful Technical Project Management experience

. Successful project management experience

. Experience managing multiple projects with multiple vendors concurrently with little direct supervision (read: can you juggle??)

. Understanding of association membership and content management software packages

. Fondness for working in a fast paced, collaborative environment

Preferred experience:

. Experience integrating CRM with Web and working understanding of Web technologies

. Experience successfully coordinating a conversion from one Association Management Software to a more Customer Relationship Management software.
