Manager, Donor Database (NYC National Headquarters)
Reporting to the Director, Donor Database Management, the Manager, Donor Database will function as a key member of the Donor Database Management department by helping to ensure the integrity, completeness, and usability of donor data. Responsibilities include: supervising, mentoring and guiding gift processors and data maintenance staff; ensuring donor gifts are processed accurately and acknowledged appropriately; fostering team work and providing overall leadership and guidance to staff; providing hands-on problem resolutions; reviewing all data keyed internally and assisting in data entry; monitoring keying statistics and data integrity; assisting Finance staff with reconciliation of GL to PIDI; establishing staff guidelines and maintaining policies and procedures for keying gifts and maintaining data; monitoring acknowledgements; providing feedback and creating growth plans for staff; communicating with fundraising staff regarding proper gift coding; recommending new init
iatives as needed; producing internal data entry reports; implementing adjustments as required; cross training staff and managing seasonal temporary staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and a minimum of five years related database management experience preferably in a non-profit environment, including strong supervisory experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent computer, data entry and database management, and customer service skills required. Must be extremely organized and detail oriented. Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential. Good ability to communicate effectively and professionally with vendors and staff across the organization required.
