Wanna see something only Flickr can do.

It is really worth the watch if you haven't seen it.

I don't want to spoil the ending but imagine if all "similar" data sets could be aggregated in the same way.

>>First off, I love Flickr. I use it personally for all my photos. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/gclabaugh/sets/ <http://www.flickr.com/photos/gclabaugh/sets/> ). However, I don't think it scales well for an organization. For one, security is either all or nothing (you either are an owner of the site or you're not). That aside, the biggest drawback is that are few tools for getting photos OUT (download) of Flickr. Other drawbacks include: There is no bulk download (at least that I have found). You can only download one by one. Getting back to the original size for a single picture takes a couple of mouse clicks. Uploaded pictures are renamed to a random sequence of numbers/letters. (Original filename is lost) So as a photo archiving system where you want to be able to find, retrieve and repurpose the photos, it's kind of clumsy. That's not what it is designed to do.>>;
