Dear Benjamin, and other esteemed ISF Colleagues:

Several folks have written to me, because they did not receive copies
of the messages that sent to the list. It almost always turns out
that everyone BUT the sender got a copy in his/her in-box. This is a
quirk that I can't explain.

If you're ever in doubt about whether the message that you posted to
ISF has circulated to the entire group, your best bet is to check the
archives at <http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Information_Systems_Forum/>.

This is a "feature" of Gmail (and doubtless some other emails clients). Because you sent the message (and therefore already have a copy), Gmail assumes you don't want to store the exact same message again and discards it.

I believe if you delete the message from your "sent" folder, you will get a copy of your own messages (although I may be remembering that incorrectly). But Deborah's recommendation to check the group archives may be an easier one.
