The folks at my Technology Steering Committee tonight were talking about software that can demonstrate something to a class of students with the image showing up on each student's computer screen, and then can be minimized so the student can try whatever was being demonstrated. Has anyone heard of this software? Can you enlighten me about it? Thanks.

I don't know what they were discussing specifically but I know that any of the free VNCs (UltraVNC,RealVNC, etc) allow you a configuration where there are multiple non-interactive connections to a single server so that everyone in a group (or classroom) can see the same desktop. Setup in this manner VNC can perform as you describe.

Has anyone heard of having on online contact form 'hosted' on another web site? ie when you click on a "contact us" link you get taken to a form on a web site providing this service (free?).

A small group that has a simple web site hosted on someone's personal web space has suffered from having their email address listed - and have been told a contact form is the answer.

Any suggestions, including accessibility issues and anti spamming?

Check out www.WuFoo.com an excellent online form solution for small sites who don't have or need a backend database.

Easy and versatile!
