Software Give-Away to Budget-Strapped Non-Profits!
Focus: Arts Organizations
Dateline: Washington DC , August 16, 2007:
Members Only Software, Inc. www.membersonlysoftware.com is
announcing a new round in its program to provide its software free to
a limited number of eligible organizations.
We've tried to make our software affordable with our per-user
licensing. But we've realized that there are groups with sizable
staffs operating on very tight budgets. This giveaway is our effort to
get these organizations set up with the software they need.
To be eligible for the Members Only Software Give-Away, an organization must:
have seven or more full time staff.
have a budget of under a million dollars.
have 501c3 tax status
be willing to serve on a committee to select future awardees.
Our first rececipients:
This winter, Members Only Software's focus was Disability Service
Organizations. The recipient was United Cerebral Palsy of Michigan.
UCPM was looking for a system that would unite all the different
databases they were keeping and be accessible from all three of their
branch offices. They have been "LIVE"on their new system since April,
2007. Our Spring '07 focus was Environmental & Conservation
organizations, and the recipient was The Ocean Foundation,
www.oceanfdn.org. They will "go live" on their Members Only this
September.
Every quarter a different focus:
One system will be given away each quarter. We'll select a focus area
for the award for each round of the giveaway. For this current
quarter, the focus is Arts Organizations: Performance or Fine Arts
What's included:
Any combination of our modules can be included in the donated system:
CRM, Accounting, Membership, Fundraising, Meetings and Events, Grants
Management, Order entry and Inventory, Subscriptions, and Advertising.
Unfortunately, we do have to charge for the hourly services an
organization might need, like custom software development, data
conversion or training. And of course we cannot give away third-party
products. But removing the cost of the Members Only software itself
provides a significant savings!
How it works:
Members Only Softwareis now taking applications for the next
Give-Away. The winner will be selected on Sept 10th by a committee
consisting of Members Only staff and the Directors of the other
recipient organizations. This committee will grow with the inclusion
of a representative from each new awardee. If you work with an
