(ISF) Friends asking friends

Is the Friends Asking Friends application of Kintera a feature that is available on other tools, such as Convio or CiviCRM, etc. or would an organization be stuck with Kintera if they want that feature. Does anyone have a comparison on that issue?

Hi Michael, I am with a company called Firstgiving (www.firstgiving.com
<http://www.firstgiving.com/>; ), we provide person to person fundraising pages and widgets that enable an organization's supporters to raise funds for any organization by emailing their page to family and friends or place a widget on their blog, web site or myspace area. We also have a FaceBook app that gives people the ability to bring their fundraising into their FaceBook area.

Firstgiving lets supporters raise funds for any reason whether that be
an event (walk, ride, run, etc), occasions (birthdays, weddings, in
memoriam), or anything else (mission/volunteer trips, just because...).
