Thank you for sharing this Deb. Facebook is indeed a terrific social networking medium to expand your online fundraising into. That's why Firstgiving rolled out their person-to-person fundraising app on Facebook in August. If you have a online personal fundraising page on Firstgiving already, you can feed it into your Facebook profile, and open up your fundraising cause to a world of new donors.

It's not just about college students interacting anymore, it's much
deeper than that.
Firstgiving also powers a fundraising Widget that people use on their Blogs and MySpace sites for similar reasons.

It's definitely a tremendous benefit to fundraisers when they can easily reach out to more people and net more donations for worthy causes! It's just the tip of the iceberg, there's so much to come!

>>Ok, you already know that I am a shameless enthusiast when it comes to my esteemed client, Changing The Present (CTP). So you won't be surprised to know that I am doing a happy dance because CTP has just launched a Facebook widget: <http://apps.facebook.com/changingthepresent/>
Now I can send my Facebook buddies a really meaningful online gift. Virtual cupcakes are really nice, but a one dollar contribution
through CTP toward Amnesty International's urgent action network is
even sweeter.>>
