I'm Lola work with Voluntary Action Waltham Forest; a
north bond Council for Voluntary Services (CVS; an umbrella
organisation whose role is to provide support and capacity
building of not for profit organisations, or as we say in
England, voluntary and community organisations (VCO).
I've just returned from the NTEN Conference which took
place in Seattle, last week . The Conference really brought
home the fact that although we may share values and goals
there are huge differences between the UK not for profit
infrastructures and policy environments and conditions in
the US and other parts of the world.
Nevertheless, we can all learn a lot from one another.
My role at Voluntary Action is to assist four north bond
CVS partners with the strategic development of ICT to
support and improve VCO capacity to deliver frontline
services.
I've joined the list to share my expereinces and learn
about others' strategies to develop ICT for community
development.
