Hi folks,
I wanted to take a quick moment to address a post made to this list a while back (below) that made a negative comment about our company. We were surprised by this and since I was unfamiliar with the person who made the post, we did some research into this situation. Because this post kicked off a long thread about content management systems, it seems important to present this group with the facts that we learned.
We spoke with the client in question and they told us that they are happy with CitySoft's Community Enterprise (CE) software platform (which includes a content management system), but were very unhappy with the implementation consultants whom they hired to implement our platform (one of whom made the post below). We learned that the consultants (Signify Design and Onyx Spectrum) had not made a basic investment of time in learning how the platform works and were unable to deliver for the client.
The client told us, "it's not the product, it's the people who are assisting us" that are the problem. The client subsequently replaced those consultants and is now using CE very effectively. In fact, they are managing nine different sites on our CE platform which include 20,000 documents that serve researchers around the world.
Sometimes posts such as the one below don't provide enough information to make them accurate, so we just want to make sure that a fuller context of this situation is provided. Of course, we would invite anyone on this list to judge for themselves by taking a look at the system.
Very best regards,
Nick Gleason

>>I'm looking for a content management systems application. Open Source or commercial. I think I saw messages about that topic a couple of months ago, but I have trashed those. Has anyone found something fabulous? What's your experience with Contribute? Recently, a client of mine has used CitySoft, but my impression has not been very good.>>
