Hello Folks.

I need your opinions and experiences please.

I want to have chat capability for our website visitors to ask questions and receive quick responses. I used to have this simply set up by saying if you want to chat with a CMOM Guest Services Rep please IM us at cmom NY using AOL. It was great, I used to get easily 20 inquires a day and I had this service for over a year. However, another staff member decided that because it wasn't 24/7 it was frustrating and useless when it wasn't manned. . .and so it was removed. I waited almost a year and tried to institute it again
and was shot down- same reasons, which, IMHO, is draconian in this day and age. . .if it isn't manned it says so-

so if you have a moment what is your experience/opinion on website chat abilities ? Positive and negatives.

Thanks!
