I'm happy to announce the birth of the Boston (area) Joomla Users Group. There are a growing number of organizations using Joomla and the time seemed right to get this up and running. Like other users groups, we will be meeting on a schedule that we will come up with at our first meeting. I'm hoping to set a date and time for the first meeting in the next few weeks with a target of convening it sometime in November. You can sign up for the newletter at the website: www.bjoomug.org. The site is still under development but the newletter/mail list is up and running. I'm not allowing registration for more general access to the site yet since it hasn't been moved to its permanent location on my hosted account. As an example of how Joomla can be deployed quickly and with good functionality, I began installing this instance of Joomla last Friday evening and have only been working on it in the cracks.
