Totally agreed on the informal mtg space tip. As for tracks, given that this is in New Orleans, I am eager to have a Disaster Relief track. This could bring the VOAD (Vol Organizations Active in Disaster) network to the conference. It would also provide a wonderful context for NTEN to do some specific, concrete work in a specific community of need.

All I really want is several clearly labeled and comfortably furnished lounges, so that people can put the word out that they'll be sitting in the Red (or Green or Blue..) Room from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, available to meet and greet whoever is trying to locate them. Does anyone else feel the same way?>>

For me, the issue is not just the yearly NTEN, but it is missing the regional Nten sessions.

I work mostly up here in the "north woods";. While my clients are all over the country, I rarely get to go to them or meet with them in person. I found the Boston and NYC regional NTEN a good way to get "out of the woods";. From here in Maine both Boston and NYC are easy (ish) to get to. I went to both Boston and NYC regional conferences when they were held. I agree with Deborah that in person time is the great value. With the regional meetings that came a few times a year. I don't find online presentations etc fill that space.
