You mentioned the issue of putting a new operating system on
the donated computer. >Although the computer was donated,
the license for Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office were
not donated. So most of these machines configured >for
kids had a free version of Linux installed. OK for school
kids, but not very useful for organizational use.
The Community Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher (MAR)
Americas program provides Microsoft operating system
software to PC refurbishers in all the countries of North
America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean
(with the exception of Cuba). The MAR Program is a
partnership between Microsoft and TechSoup.
