Hello, Everyone:
My name is Rebecca Leaman, and I'm located in New Brunswick, Canada.
Currently I am the main blogger at WildApricot.com. First trained as a teacher, I shifted into book publishing, then did a short stint in resource development/fundraising on my way to the past 20+ years as a freelance writer/editor in print, in film/video, and (for the last 5 or so) online, with a focus on public education in its broadest sense. I manage a few websites as another string on the freelance bow, and moderate the forum at AuthorityBlogger.com. On a personal note, I'm active in a local therapy-dog hospital-visitation program and serve as webmaster/blogger for the beekeepers' association of which I'm a well-stung member. Not surprisingly, my strongest personal interest is in those small volunteer-driven organizations - or the local chapters of national organizations - who do such remarkable work at the community level with very limited resources.
So - not a nonprofit professional, here; simply a freelance writer/editor with a leaning toward the nonprofit sector - but one who very much appreciates the chance to "lurk and learn" on the ISF group!
Rebecca
