Way to go!

The CiviCRM open source community was involved when NTEN
pulled some vendors together awhile back to talk about open
standards, you can imagine how that went.

I've been arguing to Joe Baker that some of the big IT
customers need to get together an just say "we want
this." I had a couple of those conversations with IT
managers at NTEN.

This is a great first step. If there is anything we can do
in the CiviCRM community to help out, please drop me a line.

Allan,

I'd be very interested to hear more about your efforts here
as well. This is a direction that we're passionate about
as well but like many things we've found it easier to talk
about than execute. If you can provide some leadership in
this area, I bet that a bunch of us would follow. From an
earlier iteration of discussions on this, I would recommend
choosing a modest initial goal or initiative that would be
easily achievable. If we could execute on a small step in
this direction, that would hopefully generate some momentum.

Very best,

Nick
