 Hi Everyone:

CitizenSpeak is proud to announce that the Webby Awards, the
leading
international honor for web sites, recognized CitizenSpeak
(www.citizenspeak.org) as an Official Honoree, a distinction
awarded
to sites for their excellence, vision and superior quality.
Described
as MoveOn.org for the rest of us, CitizenSpeak provides a
free and
easy-to-use email advocacy service for grassroots
organizations.

With elections coming up, this is a great time to visit
CitizenSpeak
and consider integrating email campaigns into your
organizing efforts.
Since the recent launch of the upgraded CitizenSpeak
service,
CitizenSpeak has supported accounts from organizations
across the
country and is currently sponsoring some great campaigns
from high
profile topics like Say No To HR4437 to local issues such as
the East
Side Public Education Coalition demand for improved public
education.

The CitizenSpeak open source Drupal module
(http://drupal.org/node/3
2189) has also recently seen a lot of
activity. The module has been used by domestic and
international
organizations including Planned Parenthood and Public
Campaign to
educate communities about important causes.

Receiving the Webby Awards Honoree distinction would not
have been
possible without Development Seed's and George Hotelling's
amazing
design and development work, the support from the CivicSpace
community
and, most importantly, Pablo Calamera, the original
architect of the
CitizenSpeak service.

Feel free to check out CitizenSpeak and launch a free real
or test
campaign, or contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Jo Lee
