Firstly, if you have your 501(c)3 in place, then they can
access that. Also, many companies that give software at a
discount to education institustions, will give to such
oganizations as well - it depends on the company, so you
need to check with each company.

As for user feedback, I don't have any sites handy but I do
know that there are some homeschooling groups, and they can
be a very good resource. In addition, there are some good
sites with educational software, either for download, or
which you work with directly. Again, they are primarily
aimed at homeschoolers, but fromyour point of view, that's
just as well, since they generally have an individualized
point of view.

http://www.iclasses.org/
was originally at the Kentucky Migrant Technology Project,
which was aimed at providing proper schooling for children
in migrant families. The funding for that ended but
apparently they moved the content over to this site.
Definitley worth checking out.

Subject: (ISF) Software for Teens

I don't know if anyone can help me with this, but I am
looking for software for the computer lab of an after school
program for at-risk teens. They are especially interested
in animation and music mixing but also need an array of
traditional educational and career software. Does anyone
have any recommendations or know where I could find user
feedback on specific programs? Also, I know K-12 schools
can get software at a discount through many places, are
there opportunities like that for nonprofit educational
programs?

Thanks!
