Greetings all,
I've got an exciting project on my hands called dotOrganize,
a
collaborative effort to get better tech/organizing tools and
strategies into the hands of grassroots, social change
organizers.
The first and MOST IMPORTANT step in this project has been
understanding what organizers on the ground actually need to
support
their work. While there are many really great tools out
there,
there's also pretty wide consensus that organizations with
smaller
budgets, in particular, are still struggling. dotOrganize
has been
working with a group of 20 grassroots organizers to unpack
the nature
of the problem -- what's working, what isn't, and what kinds
of
technologies can most effectively support their work.
Now, we need to get really specific about how this tools
challenge is
playing out sector wide, and the most effective way for us
to get the
hard data we need is by all you organizers out there
completing our
handy little survey.
