Subject: [nten-discuss] Join an N-TEN Affinity Group (Beta
Period)
To: nten-discuss list.nten.org
Hi folks –
The best parts of any N-TEN event are the people that you
meet and the
conversations that you have. You've also told us
repeatedly that you want
us to help you find people like you before, during and after
those events to
that you can continue those conversations even when you
can't be in the same
place. So, N-TEN has partnered with GoLightly Community to
bring you a new
N-TEN program: N-TEN Affinity Groups. Please help us develop
an effective
and informative community space by taking part in this beta
period. We
invite you to:
<> Join an Affinity Group
<> Start an Affinity Group
<> Give us feedback
All at http://groups.nten.org
- What is an Affinity Group?
Just a group of people with a common interest or identity.
An Affinity Group
could be for nonprofit webmasters, people who work in hunger
and
homelessness, or people who are interested in blogging. If
you don't see a
group you're interested in, start it!

- Why is this a Beta Period?
For the next couple of months, we'll be experimenting a bit
– figuring out
which part of this community software work best for us, and
how we can help
folks use it better. The software is fully functioning, but
we'll likely be
making changes to the interface and text on the site to make
it more
useful. Your suggestions will be invaluable!

Holly
