Dear Joe,

This is not at all the same thing you're asking for, but I
have put multiple
Internet gateways on a network and routed traffic to them
for specific
purposes. For example, I have one network with
workstations, file server,
terminal server, and mail server. The mail server uses on
DSL connection,
the Terminal Server uses another, and the workstations use a
third. Just be
sure you're handy with routing, 'cuz it's very easy to
miss a route and have
odd problems.

Subject: (ISF) Anyone have experience with internet
connection aggretating
routers?

Hello everyone.

A client of mine has multiple sites connecting to their main
office using
VPN which also runs an Exchange server. They foresee a slow
but steady
expansion and are interested in exploring greater bandwidth.
 In their area
the next level is a 10 Megabit fiber connection that costs
$1000.00 Canadian
per month to start. I know there are routers that can be
purchased that
allow you to aggregate multiple DSL connections and increase
your bandwidth.
The DSL provider says that load balancing doesn't work over
DSL, it only
works with dedicated connections like T1s (which start at
around $600.00
CAD). Has anyone had any experience with Link aggregating
routers in a DSL
setting rather than in a LAN setting where link aggregation
is common? Are
there other options that I should consider?

Thanks

Joe
