Subject: (ISF) Corrupted MS Office documents

I was wondering if anyone has had any success recovering
Microsoft Excel
documents that had been corrupted. We have an Excel workbook
with multiple
sheets, charts, graphs, linked info, etc, and it's now
corrupted and won't
open. I managed to get it open in NeoOffice (OpenOffice for
Macs), but all
the charts are missing, and some info that was linked to is
missing -- which
throws the whole thing off.

I wondered if anyone had any experience with services such
as Excel Rescue:
http://www.excel-rescue.c
om <http://www.excel-resc
ue.com>
I worry that it's a total scam, but I'd be willing to pay
$30 if they could
really recover the document in full. Everything else I came
across seemed
prohibitively expensive and no more legitimate-seeming.

Worst case scenario, I could revert to an incomplete backup,
but our most
recent backups were overwritten by the corrupted file before
we caught it.

Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry for the cross-posting, and thanks in advance.

Lauren
