Greek characters and subscripts in wiki words

Hi all-

I'm wondering if there is a way to use Greek characters or subscripts in wiki words. For example:

[[ΔV]] and [[P~s~]]

render as

ΔV and P~s~

These characters render correctly when they aren't inside the brackets. I also tried doing the alternate text:

[[dV|ΔV]]

but it still renders the same. Any help would be appreciated.
