PS-Poll support in ipw2200

Dear all,

I have an IBM ThinkPad, and the output of the lspci
command tells I have the following wireless card and
drivers:

"04:02.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation
PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection (rev 05)"

I understand it is the 2915ABG driver, so the drivers
should be the ipw2200 ones. It seems I have version
05, which looking at the CHANGES file in the source
code dates from 2004.

I am interested in having PS-Poll support. What I mean
with that is to have the standard power save mode
defined in the 802.11 standard that is basically:

1) Awake every N Beacons and check the TIM vector to
see if the AP has packets buffered for me.
2) If there are packets buffered for me send a PS-Poll
to request that packet.
3) If the packet that I receive contains the MD bit in
the header enabled, this means there are more packets
for me buffered in the AP so I will keep on sending
PS-Polls until I receive a data packet with MD bit
disabled.

Checking the CHANGES file in the code directory it
seems than in version 0.11 you added PSP support for
power management. Is it the function implemented the
one I previously described ?

In that case should I upgrade to version 0.11 or
better to the latest one 1.2.2 to have PSP support ?

I use Ubuntu 7.10
