Cross-compile error - undefined reference to `pangoft2_viewer'

Hello,
        I am cross-compiling Gtk for ARM Core. I have
cross-compiled
Cairo and glib library.I am using following configure option
for Pango

./configure CC=arm-linux-gcc --build=i386-linux
--host=arm-linux
--prefix=/home/prashant/rootfs/usr/
--x-includes=/home/prashant/rootfs/usr/include/
--x-libraries=/home/prashant/rootfs/usr/lib
FONTCONFIG_CFLAGS="-I/home/prashant/rootfs/usr/include/

I get following error while using make

`pangoft2_viewer'

I found one refrence in gnome which says that I need to
install
freetype development files.
I have already cross compiled freetype and also installed
freetype
development files on my host system still I am not able to
over come
this issue.

Am I missing any option ? Do I need to modify my freetype
configuration ?
