I'd probably code my Io webserver (assuming you're not using
 
something like apache or lighttpd instead) such that new
instances  
(the first time) of a webapp are spawn off in their own vm
(I'm not  
sure if the built-in OS threading stuff in Io is still
there, and if  
it is, if it works right yet, or I'd go that way instead).

This would let you control (via external applications) the
state of  
your webapps if needed, as well as keep them isolated from
each other.
