Change charset
country flaguser name
Denmark

Hi.

I have just installed irssi here on openSUSE 10.2.

It works ok, but I have dificulties setting the charset
corerct, so that
I have the Scandinavian characters ok.

The xterm is Ktorrent, and here I can see, that the charset
is set to
default.

But I cannot see, what default is.

If I write the Scandinavian charachters, they are shwown
correct.

But the output is not ok.

How can I handle that problem ?.

TIA

/Erik

output where? on your terminal? what locale settings do you
use? (run
"locale")

look at /set recode. it will printout various settings which
influence
the charset handling inside irssi.
