That mess, as you call it, is just a responsibility for
jackmidi
patchbay client applications to cope, it is _not_ a
disadvantage of the
eventual jackmidi alsa-seq driver.
Dmitry, could you show us what you have already for the
alsa-seq stuff?
may be I can spare some time on it and help, as I suggested
before.
