1010LT --->ALSA--->JACK--->Rotter low audio problem...

I have an M-Audio 1010LT card with the correct drivers for
ALSA (I
think). Then I am running JACK. I have no idea if it is
configured
correctly or not because I have Rotter invoke it for me.It
seems to be
sucking off of the right audio card seeing as the MP3s that
rotter is
making has audio, it's just EXTREMELY low.

My question is, How do I know if I have JACK configured
correctly? Is
there any way to test to see if I have audio coming out of
JACK?
Should I be using alsamixer to control the audio into JACK?

Any help would be appreciated, I am a total newbie with
Linux Audio.

Thank You,
Mike

The m-audio Delta cards have their own mixer app called
envy24control.
