After some experiment, you actually have a
"hidden" function to create a new
page.
It is under the Search box in the upper right corner, a
layer will show up
when the mouse moves over there, there are three functions:
view | edit |
find. The edit function is what I am looking for.
It is not obvious, but it is sort of there...
I will try your suggestion of adding this function into the
search result.

Well, Wikipedia is different because it is really about
creating an
encyclopedia. We're more of a traditional wiki in the
sense that one
should create a link from a page first to avoid orphaned
pages.
But it should be a pretty trivial tweak to add it in your
own
template - just
a) make a directory templates/steve
b) copy templates/default/FindContent.jsp to steve
c) modify templates/steve/FindContent.jsp as you please
d) set your jspwiki.templateDir=steve
(Note that you don't need to copy the entire default
directory. This
allows later upgrades to go much smoother, because you
modify only
files that you need to and leave the rest to be handled by
the
default system.)
