Hi All,

A new development build is available. We should be very close to the 2.1.0 final release.

Tried to fix the LDAP support for non-Active directory, but progress a little slow on that front. Here are the entries you need for LDAP in jtrac.properties:

ldap.url=ldap://myldaphost
ldap.searchBase=DC=foo ,DC=bar,DC=org

And if you are using Active Directory, you can add this line - this switches on an LDAP optimization for Active Directory.

ldap.activeDirectoryDomain=MYDOMAIN

You can get some sample code to troubleshoot LDAP at this forum thread:

http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1730933&forum_id=552477

And this mailing list thread may also be of help:

http://www.nabble.com/New-development-build-available-2.1.0-dev5-tf3676082.html

Notable fixes:

- the Wicket guys just appear to have fixed back button support so if you use the browser back-button and try to click links on the dashboard, even that should work now.
- custom fields were earlier not visible / editable when Admin went into "edit" mode, fixed
- some buttons on the admin screens had bad image url references, fixed
- after logging in, spaces that had guest access were not visible, fixed
- spaces are now sorted on the dashboard by name
- invalid workflow state transitions [where you logically cannot assign something in State A to a ROLE with new State B because that ROLE cannot transition State B to any other State *phew*] are now flagged in red on the space workflow editing screen

As always, details on how to get the latest build are available here: http://jtrac.info/doc/html/interim-builds.html

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Peter,

Thanks again for the nice work. dev6 runs without problems
on my
server with jetty 6.1.3.
I have a small feature suggestion: When viewing an issue,
couldn't
there be a link on the page with the friendly URL? That
would make it
easy to right click, do "copy link location" and
paste anywhere.

Hi Peter,

I am Rafik from Tunisia, and we are planning to usejTrac in
our company
to handle customer requests,

I would like first of all to thank you for your great work
on jTrac, I
am really fond of it.

We are worrying about one matter though : how do I tune the
time to
live of a session ? In fact, it seems that jTrac disconnects
after a
given time of inactivity, how can I, please, set this up ?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Best regards

Hi,

JTrac does not change whatever is set as the default for the web-application server for the session timeout. If you are using the Jetty server that JTrac uses by default, you can change this setting within the etc/webdefault.xml file. ; Look for this section:

  <session-config>;
    <session-timeout>30</session-timeout>
  </session-config>

If you are using some other app-server, you should be able to do something similar, consult the documentation. I also think you should be able to add this section within even JTrac's WEB-INF/web.xml file (just before the welcome-file-list section).

You can also raise a feature request if you feel that a session timeout setting should be configurable from within JTrac, we can add this to the config screen.

Thanks,

Peter.
