that
someonejabber.org will be able to log in through
myjabber_server.com?


i would prefer to use either ejanbberd or jabberd(2?).


any links/tutorials/pointers appreciated.

Roaming is (at least currently) not possible in the XMPP
network. 
Therefore if you start operating your own server, you will
need to geta 
new JabberID.

May I ask why you prefer not to use jabberd14?

to be honest i don't have any ''real'' reason for it, it
would make
sense to me if the jabberd2 would be ''better'' than
jabberd14, i mean
there is got to be a reason why the devs wrote it in the
first place.
