Is there a public test server that always runs the latest
jabberd 2.1
release (or even the development version!) that can be used
for client
testing?

Perhaps the jabberd2 team would like to join the XSF interop
network?

http://www.xmpp.org/inte
rop/

The idea is that we'll have deployments of all the major
server
implementations on that network for both c2s and s2s
testing.

I freely grant that we need to improve the mechanisms for
provisioning
client and server developers on that network. Feedback is
welcome.

Chrome.pl (and its vhosted domains) is always running latest
2.1 svn
trunk.

But it's not open for public registrations, so please
contact me to
obtain a test account.

I considered it already.
The problem is, that we do not have a spare machine to
deploy interop
server.

OK, that's good to know. Maybe the XSF can do something
about that for
projects that don't have machines to spare...

Couldn't you just add the interop domain as a vhost?

Interop rules require that interop servers accept s2s
connections only
from other interop servers.

jabberd2 does not support s2s ACL on a vhost basis.

mmm, I suppose you could install the interop services on separate ports. That way you get to test SRV records properly too

That's a good idea.
I'll see into that.
