Hi Darren,

thanks for your response. The apache dav_module can't
control the ACL.
That's why it is useless to go for dev_module.
Could any kindly enlighten me how to access the home
directory using
slide webdav. it is really have some great features which
I am looking for; that's why I don't like to miss it.

to access the home directory you'll have to use the slide
webdav client 
or any other webdav client:

Download: http://jakarta.apache.org/site/downloads/downloads_s
lide.cgi
(Files: client.tar.gz or client.zip)

The slide webdav client provides you http methods to
retrieve and 
manipulate data on your slide webdav server. For the
beginning have a 
look at the class org.apache.webdav.lib.WebdavResource.
